Overview

Before committing to a longer engagement, many new managers want a clear picture of where they stand. The Leadership Assessment Session is a focused half-day diagnostic that produces a written summary and three specific recommendations.

What happens during the session

We begin with a structured conversation about your promotion, your team’s work, and the situations that have already felt difficult. You complete a brief self-assessment covering communication preferences, decision-making style, and stress responses under pressure.

We then walk through three realistic management scenarios — a team member missing deadlines, a peer asking you to cover their work, a direct report requesting a raise — and discuss how you would handle each. This is not a test; it helps us identify patterns and blind spots.

What you receive

Within five business days, you receive a written summary (typically four to six pages) covering:

  • Your dominant management strengths as observed during the session
  • Two to three communication or delegation patterns that may create friction
  • Three recommended focus areas ranked by likely impact
  • Suggested next steps, which may include our transition planning engagement, a workshop, or independent reading

Who should book this

Managers in their first year of supervision who want clarity before investing in a longer program. Also suitable for managers who have been struggling and want an outside perspective before their next performance review.
